Sing Along With Katie! is a high-energy, community-focused early childhood music program led by local educator Katie Brock. Starting this November, the program is relocating to a brand-new venue at Little Legends Playhouse in West Vancouver. This move represents a strategic expansion for "Sing Along With Katie!", combining Katie’s signature melodic storytelling and rhythmic play with the state-of-the-art indoor playground facilities at the Playhouse. By focusing on auditory development and social bonding, these sessions serve as a primary developmental touchpoint for North Shore families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
The most significant benefit of the new Marine Drive location is the integration of the Little Legends Playhouse indoor play area. Unlike traditional community center classes, "Sing Along With Katie!" at the Playhouse offers a seamless transition from structured music to unstructured physical activity.
The fun doesn't end when the last song is sung. All registered participants are invited to stay after class to enjoy the Playhouse. This allows children to explore the interactive play structures and custom-built climbing areas, while parents and caregivers can socialize in the West Vancouver facility’s modern, comfortable environment
Katie Brock’s curriculum focuses on phonological awareness and gross motor coordination. Through a mix of classic nursery rhymes, original compositions, and instrument exploration, children develop:
